It all starts in the mind. Control the controllables and don’t sweat the rest. Peace comes from within. It don’t just happen by accident. You wanna be chill? You gotta make it happen yourself from the get go.
All this stuff starts upstairs between your ears. How you think is how you feel, and if you’re always stressin’ about stuff you can’t control, you’re never gonna achieve an eased back state of mind. You gotta let that kind of nonsense go. Focus only on what you CAN impact and leave the rest for what it is. Easier said than done? Sure, but nothin’ worth having ever comes easy, right?
Here’s a simple exercise I want youse all to try. Take a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. As you exhale, imagine releasing any tension from your body. Feel that? Your muscles loosenin’ up already? That’s the beauty of being in the moment. Can’t worry about the past or future when you’re focused on breathin’ deeply RIGHT NOW.
Next time frustration starts creepin’ in, stop what you’re doin’ and remember – peace comes from within, not from any external thing. We’re all in control of our own attitudes. So ditch the stress and choose relaxed. It’s a daily commitment but it gets easier the more you practice recognizin’ when you’re tense versus chill.
