Those eggheads at the Mayo Clinic can throw around all the scientific mumbo jumbo they want, but I’m gonna break it down for you nice and easy. Laughter is medicine, plain and simple. So let’s quit beating around the bush and get straight to unleashing those belly laughs!

Your lungs gulp down fresh air, your heart starts pumping, those feel-good endorphins kick in…it’s like a natural high, minus any nasty side effects.

  4. Find your inner comedian. Was your friend’s shirt inside-out today? Did the cat do something goofy? Give yourself permission to chuckle at the little things.
  5. Don’t force it. Forced laughter rarely works (well, except in group). But if you make room for more playfulness and humor in your life, the laughs will flow naturally.
